Subway
The subway spreads under the city, a tangled web. The trains lie like sleeping metal snakes, some of them on their sides and others overturned. Graffiti plasters their sides and they are the homes of rats and loners – although the tribes come down here sometimes, specifically to look for unaligned children. The tracks don’t carry their lethal charge anymore, and it is quite safe to travel over the tracks rather than the streets above.
