Church of Saint Jude

Saint Jude – patron said of lost causes. Makes sense his would be the only church structure left intact in the desecrated city of New York. Settled just where the suburbs touch the city, this old, old building features intricate stonework and massive granite figures of angels, demons and gargoyles defending its every flank. Chunks of the building have come loose and lie scattered in the street, but it retains most of its former majestic splendor.
