John was silent for a long while, pondering Axel's words.
A raid on Gargoyle Tower? Six people? That's crazy. That's completely crazy. But we must do it.
"I'm in", he said simply, his face back to the normal blank expression. Stepping away from Shrapnel and Axel, he walked around the girl's catch to the window. Gazing out, he brushed his head with a hand, the other drumming incoherently on the window-sill, the only visible sign of apprehension and doubt.

“Right. Well. We begin mass-kamikaze-rescue at moonrise four days from now, at the windmills. Bring weapons, food, whatever you think you’ll need. Rattlesnake and I have rope and sh.it.”
Axel watched John move, and shrugged to himself. There was no accounting for some people – some people were just different. Seraphim was different in an angry sort of way and that set him apart. John was quiet, always so quiet, and it set him apart too. They were the same, almost. Neither of them liked to talk if they could help it.
But then. John was the mastermind of the two – he hadn’t run off and let the fething Vampires catch him. He didn’t have such a borderline psychotic conscience.

[Hello, I am a rambling post!]
"This is touching and everything, but it's getting a little crowded if you catch my drift."
Shrapnel ran her tongue over her teeth, glancing betweeh John and Axel. It was nice and all that they were planning the rescue of the head-honcho, but her room wasn't very big at the best of times, and with the boys effectively cutting out her two routes of escape (okay, the window was too small for her to get through, but subconciously it was a way outside so it counted) she was getting edgy again.
She hadn't realized it until the first prickle of sweat had registered, itching under her shirt where the pock-marked bits of scar tissue rubbed against the cotton tee under her hoodie. She scratched at it absently, a frown appearing on her face. Shrapnel despised it when she got like this; it made her feel weak, something she wasn't used to. Bah, now she was getting all emo. Greeeat.

Reason knows... Ah, sh.it. Screw it all.
John stared out of the window for a few more seconds, then fully realized what Shrapnel had said. He blinked a few times, shaking his head, and turned back from the view, staring blankly at Shrapnel.
"Huh. Right. Sorry."
Tipping his head inquiringly at Axel, he started for the door once more, again stepping around the girl's catch. That subject was still nagging on his mind, but they had more important things to deal with now. Seraphim - and Dancer?
