Rico grinned at the boys enthusiasm and it reminded him of himself when he used to ride with his brothers back home in england.
" ...We'd make a pretty good team...I'm a tank and run in head first, your small and steathy...we could do some decent damage to our enemies. "

Crap...two Wildcats... A light haired girl watched the two boys talk, her expression unreadable. Narrowed hazel eyes flicked from one to the other and back again as they shared their 'life stories', despite the fact that they barely knew each other. Idiots. Of course, they were in the same tribe. But still. You'd think they would wait around a bit - or maybe that was just wharf rat paranoia speaking. Or Aderyn paranoia. Or both.
And - as this Nails made plans for fighting - she listened in. Just in case - because wasn't that what Rats did? She didn't associate herself with the Wharf Rats entirely, of course - not yet - but certainly more than she originally had. And she knew most of them - she had known Sharky's name and rank, if nothing else; too bad he was already running by the time she got here, or she might have managed to help him.
Hidden in shadow, she let a slight grin slide across her face. Yeah, she was near two Wildcats and not much else - well, not much else alive - but hey, this was neutral territory. You weren't supposed to fight here, although that wouldn't stop them, given their reputation - the only clan that might have been stopped by that were the Cigarettes. Maybe. But at least she wasn't trespassing.
Leaning against the wall in a darkened alleyway, she kept her ears pricked - Vampires were said to like doing what she did now. She had never met one, but she would bet that at least some of the rumors were true, and there were a heck of a lot of freaky or odd rumors about that gang. And their leader- the Crow or whatever. A bird, like her. Well, that vampiress would probably think of her more as a hummingbird than anything else. But hey, at least hummingbirds were fast.
It was nearly impossible to see the girl, having selected an alley with an overhang for just that purpose, although if she widened her eyes a bit, the light glinting off them would probably be noticed. She didn't really mind if she was found right now, except that it would mean she was a worse hider than she had originally thought. But at least she wasn't doing anything important - and if she was, she probably would have gone to the sewers, merely for safety reasons. For a Wharf Rat, that was as safe as anywhere ever got in this dying, derelict mess of a city.

Panix crossed his arms, a bit annoyed at being called "small". Atleast he was "Stealthy". Then, with all the synchronicity of a diving team, they turned to the right, and headed across the ex-street.
"Yeah, sounds good to me." Panix said, and began to play with his machette again. They walked right past the alleyway where the girl was hiding, and Panix was totally unaware that anyone was even in there. "Small and stealthy. Yeah. And then, this thing flies pretty good, too. Could probably chop someone from afar, they wouldn't know what hit'em. Then you jump out and go postal witht he bat."

Rico gave a bark like laugh and nodded his head, he cast his gaze sideways down the alleyway, a mere flick of his eyes but that was enough. He carried on walking past with Panix but he'd seen the eyes, the flash they gave from the lighting across the street. He dismissed it and carried on with Panix but he kept concious for this extra addition to their conversation. He wasn't a hunter for not being able to notice things, he even remembered the number of freckles upon a kids face he only met once, Rico was proud to have a photographic memory and sharp eyesight but most of the time it was like a curse. He patted his fingers upon his bat in a reply to Panix
"...Aye I love this bat, I've cracked alot of heads with her and shes been with me for about 3 months but this baby ..." he slowly drew forth his 15 inch combat knife with its serated back glinting from the long leather sheath strapped to his belt "...I've had for years..."

She almost laughed, glancing at Panix with the slightest of smiles on her face. He was supposed to be the stealthy one, but he couldn't notice something that was - literally - right in front of him. It was certainly amusing - she decided that she rather liked standing here listening to them talk, even if it was rather boring talk.
Still, it made her less wish to get caught by these two; their plans had the potential to be deadly, whether she knew them or not. And that knife looked like a good one, too. She raised her eyebrows, but Nails glanced her way first at the same time. She saw recognition, or at least confusion, as if he had seen something that couldn't be there. Yeah, she'd been discovered. Oh crap. She moved back slightly, as quietly as she could, crossing her fingers that she wouldn't make a noise.
Then she shrugged, pushing away the paranoia. Thinking that seeing two Wildcats wasn't unusual, as they tended to travel in packs, she decided that she would just have to get used to it. And now was as good a time as any to start. She was already putting in place pans for her own demise, and no one had even lifted a finger her way. Stupid, stupid.
Narrowing her eyes still more, she glanced around her. They didn't seem to be in Wildcat territory - not yet, though that was probably where these two were headed. As much as she - inwardly, obviously - complained about having them so nearby, it was fun doing this, and she certainly wasn't going to risk it in their own land. They probably knew every hiding spot, and would get her before she had gone two feet.
No, she couldn't risk that.
Feeling like a hyppocrite, Aderyn decided that she was bored. Why not spice up this meeting a little? It could turn out to be fun, and at the very least she would get to do a lot of fast talking. That was plenty of fun, too, so even if there was no fight - which she still hoped there wasn't - she would have stuff to do and think over later.
"Hey, Panix," she drawled, stepping out of her hiding place to lean against a wall, "I have a question: What happens to your plans if the enemy is already there, and you're the one caught by surprise?"

Panix saw Rico draw the knife out, and Panix took that as a sign that there might be a change in plans. He stopped spinning his machette and gripped it by the leather, and htey kept walking.
"Hey, Panix," he heard, and he stopped. "I have a question: What happens to your plans if the enemy is already there, and you're the one caught by suprise?"
Panix turned his head and looked at the Wharf Rat, his eyes already blazing with anger at being taken by suprise. Panix gritted his teeth, and held up his machette, spinning it by the handle between his fingers.
"Then I skip straight to the halál..." Panix took a step toward the girl, bending his knees and prepareing to fight.
"... to the Death."

She raised her eyebrows slightly, but otherwise gave no inclination that she had heard the boy. Halál- she didn't know what the word's exact deffinition was, but she would bet that it had something to do with death or fighting. The element of surprise she could have had, had she felt like randomly attacking two Wildcats, was lost now - they would almost certainly be ready to try and hack her to bits after so many seconds lost.
"To the death, you say?" she asked, her voice as calm as if she were merely commenting on the weather, though adrenaline had begun to run through her body. Was this why she had come here? To fight, and possibly die? She wasn't entirely sure, though she knew she could attack right now if she wanted. But she didn't, staying still for the moment.
She really should have made sure she had some back up before attempting this.
A wry smile grew on the girl's face; of course it was too late to scream for someone now, unless she wanted to look like a coward, and an idiot to boot. Nah, she would take her chances with her own tongue and fists, thanks all the same. If only she had something she could use to her advantage, though....
However, unlike in all those adventure and fantasy books she'd read in her younger days, no bright ideas or right-on-time rescuers came to mind. Not that anyone would help her for any reason other than the fact that she was a Wharf Rat, of course, seeing as no one really knew her at all.
And there she went again, Aderyn thought, annoyed; signing her own death warrant before anything had happened. Flashing a smile that showed teeth, she told him, "Don't blame me for the fact that you didn't notice me. I would have tried to attract your attention, but jumping up and down and yodeling isn't really the best course of action here, so I decided against it." Keeping her gaze locked on his, she continued, "Excuse me for being so...inconsiderate."

Panix's muscles tensed for a moment, then he relaxed. He looked her up and down, then locked his gaze with hers as she finished speaking.
"Te gondolkodás te rész a jobb?" Panix muttered, under his breath.
"Because I'm the better..."
He took a wary step toward the girl, his 'chette at the ready. He spoke up, "Who are you? You're a Rat, like that boy with the CD player, arn't you? You two have a knack for crossing me. You should get togethor some time and figure out how else you're gunna piss me off."

Rico dropped his knife back into it's holster and he narrowed his eyes upon the girl. He curled his hand tighter around his baseball bat and walked around leaning upon the opposite side of the alleyway. He let his eyes wonder for a moment before fixing them upon her face, he looked from Panix to this new girl and then to her markings.
"...Whats a Rat doing scurrying out here alone ? You got a death wish or something ? "

Okay, this conversation wasn't exactly going in a way that would make them particularly friendly, but hey, at least they weren't trying to spear her. That was some comfort - not, she told herself swiftly, that she needed any. They were just some stupid kittycats, after all. Nothing to be afraid of. Yeah, they had claws, but hey, she had her own tricks. She would be just fine, thank you. Right. Just fine...
And besides, these pussycats had some crappy comebacks. You should get together some time and figure out how you're gonna piss me off... Seriously. You would think that to be admitted into such a crazy Tribe, they would learn something about psyching out your enemies - or at least annoying them, particularly when you outnumbered them
Apparently not.
Hah.
"I hope that wasn't supposed to be a comeback," she told Panix lazily. "Because if it was, you really need to go to a school that teaches you how to talk." She was clearly amused, glad to have something to laugh at for the moment. No one would be able to tell if she was actually laughing, of course, though stupid as he was, he might think so, merely due to sheer paranoia.
Hazel eyes turned to take in Rico, and she raised one eyebrow. "I could ask the same of you, you know," she told him coolly. "Just by coming to this dying city you show that you've got a death wish." Glancing around her, at the crumbling buildings and trashed cars; the graffitied street signs and broken windows, she couldn't help but let a twisted smile cross her face. Her father had always spoken of going to New York someday...but she doubted that this was what he had imagined.
"Besides," she flashed him a grin, "how do you know I'm alone?"

Rico smirked gently and stepped forward towards her, his huge size 13 boots touching their tips to her feet. He looked down at her and let his voice linger upon the air gently
"...Because even if they were out there...you'd be dead before they got here " he lifted his bat baseball bat and spun it to rest in both hands. He pressed it against her chest and slammed her back agaisnt the wall pinning her there. His face split into a mask of anger, his blue eyes flashed dangerously and his teeth bared as his voice hissed forth
"...Want to take a mocking tone again and see which colour your blood is ? "

Panix crossed his arms against his chest in anger.
"Comebacks are for the weak, Nails." he told his companion, then stepped to the girl's left. He looked at her. His gaze would have been chilling, had it not been full of such firey anger.
"I was merely stating fact. You and that other Rat are a bit different, though."
He felt the back of his head, and wiped at the dried blood.
"The boy had the intelligence to strike when he had the chance. Although that has sealed his fate. You still have a chance." Panix's hand dropped to his side again.
Swiftly, he ducked into the shadows, with all the speed and grace as a true Jaguar, and this made him shudder. Even though he was trying to stick to his usual rutine of making others suffer, he was doing it in a very un-Panix fashion. This frightened him, but he shrugged the fear away. He gripped his machette in his hands and took up his strategic location in the shadowy alley- He hid behind a few trashcans that had been grouped togethor.
Panix wasn't sure why, but he knew that if Rico didn't hurt the girl first, he would. Panix was prepared to rip the girl right out of Rico's path and do with her what he will.

Damn.
She was thrown against the wall, wincing, sure she'd heard something crack. Cursing herself for being taken by surprise, she froze for a moment as she was pinned against the wall. The adrenaline pumping through her lended her strength, and she simultaneously lashed out with one fist toward a preassure point in his shoulder that would take out his arm if she hit and twisting away from the bat, she was away from the wall. Mentally thanking her parents for forcing her into that martial arts school at the age of seven, and herself for staying there for like six years, she spared a moment for glancing around her.
There - Panix, behind a bunch of trash cans. If only she had had other Rats to back her up - if they were coming, no would be a great time to appear. Or anyone willing to fight on her side, really. A knife flicked up, her eyes cold as she kept her attention divided between her two opponents. She was beginning to feel a bit stupid for stepping out and confronting them, but there was no helping that now. And she certainly wasn't going to show her trepidation.
Eyes flicking back and forth, she waited for someone to make a move. She could most certainly defend herself. Sure, she was a bit rusty, not having used this stuff in a month or two, but after the billion and one times they had had to do each attack, she thought she could remember something.
Or at least, she hoped she could.

Panix was sure she had spotted him, and with one of the brief moments her attention was flicked at Rico, he sprung over the cans, Machette raised over his head, and he swung it down at her. She side stepped and brought an elbow down into the small of his back. He fell to his knees and hands, and pushed himself off the ground as her knife whizzed by his body, inches from modifiying his ability to hear permanently. Panix brought his machette up, the blade breaker side faceing her.
He spoke to Nails briefly, not faceing him.
"Don't interfere."
He returned his attention quickly to the girl.
"You're real good. That must be the American karate I've heard about. All countries have different variations. What's your name? I'd like to know it before one of us dies."

Rico staggered backwards and grunted from the blow, the girl was smaller than he but she had the skill and finesse this brute lacked. He was about to unleash a downward smash upon her shoulder with his bat when Panix leapt from the shadows. Rico stayed himself and took a step back, if she even slipped a fraction past him he’d split her head. No one hit Rico and got away with it, not even his fellow wildcats. He spread his lips back in a snarl along his teeth and glared at her, he hand gripping the bat tightly, his leather clad palm squeaking gently through the pressure.

[Next time- let me decide what she does, okay? x3]
Aderyn didn't spare Rico a second glance now that he was down, though she made sure that he was never behind her. One enemy at her back and one at herr front - if she fell into that position, yeah, she'd probably die pretty quickly. If only she had another Wharf Rat to back her up! One-on-one, she was pretty sure she could beat either one of these cats - especially the larger one.
A kick snapped out, abruptly turning at the end and shooting downward, so that if it connected, Panix's leg would snap like a twig. "Aderyn or Bird, whichever you prefer," she said coolly, rolling to collect her knife. She had others, of course, but she would rather that they didn't get even one of her weapons, and thus heighten their chances.
Breathing hard, she looked coldly at Panix, saying icily, "How much you wanna bet that it's you who dies?" Unless, of course, you call in the back up.

[sorry about that... I'm used to semi-Omni post, where we can slightly control other people's characters, but not much]
"Well, I'd bet my life on it." he snickered. Panix grinned. He didn't know much about karate or all that other junk, but he knew how to brawl, he had taught himself over the years.
He twirled his 'chette some more, then gripped it, brought his arm across his chest and held it just beneath his other arm, and lunged foreward, swinging his arm out in a wide arch towards her.

Rico prowled like a tiger around the pair of them, studying the girl. She was the only person so far he'd let get away with hitting him. He stopped only because the blow would have connected with Panix head and he didn't want to be a traitor to the Wildcat cause by killing one of his fellow Tribe members. His blue eyes flickered between the pair of them, his irsis flexed as he focused upon the girl, he was about to cut into the banter when he saw Panix flash his machette upwards towards her and Rico tensed.

Rico-Nails is up to something - Her line of thought was cut off rather abruptly as she saw the machette swinging towards her. Her eyes flashed, before the girl ducked just in time, treating it as if it were an unruly punch. Other hand darting up, she curled her fingers together in a gansu position; all fingers but the thumb curled around her middle finger, creating a point.
She lashed out towards his neck, moving quickly. Hopefully she could get him on the ground before a) Rico decided to throw a punch or b) Panix got his machette turned around and attacked her again. Or before both happened, if she was really unlucky and the boys had somehow learned to coordinate their moves in a space of about five minutes.
Allowing herself a quick glance around, Aderyn decided that she would get no aid today. That sucked really, really badly; she had a feeling that without a little back up, she was most deffinitely going to loose. Ducking back before Panix could react, she switched her knife to her other hand, and stood there for a second. If the two of them attacked now, this could get really ugly - for her.

Panix's machette came close to the top of her head as she ducked, and he tried his best to pull his arm back, but her hand shot out at his neck with the fingers in a strange position. He leaned back and the hand connected with his chin instead of his neck, and Panix's head snapped back, and he nearly fell. Panix steadied himself and brought his machette close to his chest, and turned his wrist so that the blade was now parrallel[sp?] with his arm, the elbow of the same pointing at her. His other arm, the left one, was balled into a fist and held beneath his blade. Blood suddenly began to come out of his mouth in a thin trickle, and his tounge felt sore. He grinned, and the flow of the blood shifted a little more towards the peak of his chin.
This should be interesting. he thought, and saw the girl glanceing about, her knife raised.
I think I'll wait to see what Rico does before I go ahead again...
