[[*mildly horrified to be privvy as to whats going on in Mask's mind at the moment*]]
"You speak of the Wharf Rats demise as if it was certain." Mask replied, his voice thick with mock reproach. "Given the right oppourtunities, or the correct push to make oppourtunities, we could rule this city. The Cigarettes have their morals, the Vampires their madmen, the Wildcats their brutality... but we, we are the thinkers of this corrupt wasteland. Puppets aside, we- or rather, yourself and your Queen, could take significant power." there was a mocking stress as he spoke 'your Queen', his smirk twitching slightly.
"You have terrible taste in women, Havoc dear. Terrible taste indeed." he chuckled, watching his superior out of the corner of his eye. "You're going to wind up dead if you don't watch out."

"Now there, Mask love..." Will drawled slowly, almost in a purr. He stepped up the sidewak, balancing on the narrow edge with careless balance. "We couldn't rule this city, you know; we already do so. Why? Is it always the front figure who rules the world? Look at the examples: the world knows us for those feral kitties the Park kids are. Cigarettes and Vampires fight for dominion. And us? While they're bickering among themselves, we control the city for real - and if they do not believe it, do they make it less real?" His smile was smug yet distant... at least apparently.
"Terrible taste in women, you say?" The smile dropped and Will's face hardened ever so slightly; however, the mocking tone remained. "I know very well who and what I deal with. Thought you knew me better than that, Mask."

"Even the tamest of dogs can still turn on their masters. And you're dealing with a wild bi.tch, darling. She'll take off your hand if you aren't careful." he hummed, flanking Havoc closely even he moved up on to the sidewalk.
"The strings on the puppets are connected to the wood, which in turn is manipulated in the skillful grasp of the puppetmaster. The puppetmaster moves the wood which moves the strings which move the puppets. You, quite obviously, are the puppetmaster, Berserker the wood. But just who are the strings, and who are the puppets in this situation, sweet?" Mask said cheerfully, one hand suddenly grasping the Beta's shoulder. "A simple question, but I shant tarry about and wait for the answer. There is work to do and people to see, and vice-versa. Till another time then, William."

"I can deal with my own issues, darling. If - as you put it - Berserker's my problem, then it's my job to deal with it, right?" The smile returned, a mix between reproachfulness and a sly grin. "But please, I thought you knew me better than that. Berserker, of all of them?" The raised eyebrow, combined with the sidelong glance Will shot Mask, was all but condescending.
I wonder how many times Berserker's really the wood. But they don't have to do that, do they?
Mask's sudden gesture caused Will to put out his other arm for balance; musing on the question - which he had never had intention of replying to - Will had somehow let carelessness seep in. Hey, kid. Whoa, slow down. However, the reaction didn't take more than a few seconds, and he converted the movement to a fanciful bow.
"Till another time, Theodore. Don't let the bugs get you."
