Yes, facepaint. No, the Children of the Sandstorm do not walk around with paint on their faces making them look like cats or dogs. Nor do they have butterflies or swirls on their faces, or even their team colours. In New Pork, you need to be able to tell an enemy or a superior when you see them. Thus, the facepaint designs were invented.
Cigarettes
Color = White, pale grey
Alpha = A single white stripe, about ten centimeters thick, from forehead to jaw, past right eye.
Beta = Long, downward-pointing white triangle under left eye, small triangle above left eye, small triangle reaching up from chin to touch tip of longer triangle.
Hunter = Three stripes, a little-finger thickness, from left eye down to chin.
Commoner = Single triangle, under left eye.
Omega = Double white lines, very thin, running down nose.
Vampires
Color = Red, crimson
Alpha = Red handprint, full-facial.
Beta = Upside down red handprint on right cheek.
Hunter = Print on left cheek created by pressing thumb-side of hand into paint then onto face; resembles a claw.
Commoner = Three full-finger prints on left cheek, from jaw line.
Omega = Single thumb print on forehead or side of nose.
Wildcats
Color = Teal, orange
Alpha = Orange and teal claw stripes, three on either cheek.
Beta = Three teal claw marks on left cheek.
Hunter = Paw print on forehead, orange for male, teal for female.
