Her response was a polite smile. She glanced over at the other Rat, wondering if he exactly knew where he was before he came here. But then she looked back at Rico, with no sarcasm or disrespect in her eyes. "Why would you do that? We'll be on our way soon. I didn't come for a fight, for your information."

Rico curled his fists and growled in frustration.
"..because this is Wild Cat territory...your not Wild Cats, your Wharf Rats...You belong on your boat not in our park. You both are obviously new here and I normally never cut anyone any slack so I'm giving you this one chance to get the hell outta here because if another Cat wonders past you'll find a knife sticking in your spine faster than you can blink "

"Yes, deffinitely before you can blink, if I have anything to say about it." A brown haired girl stepped out from behind a tree, eyes narrowed, dagger in hand. The teal paint pawprint on her forehead identifying her as a Wildcat hunter, Shadow moved confidently down a small slope to stand across from the two Rats.
"This is Wildcat territory, smart ones," she reported, voice dripping biting sarcasm. An amused smile flicked across her features, as she paused a moment, hand on hip. "It doesn't matter to me, personally, whether you came to fight or not - and I think many of my fellow Wildcats will agree. Get off our land if you want to escape with your skins intact. There are three of us and two of you, for the moment - but as you are on our territory, reinforcements can be hiding behind every tree."
Frankly, this was amusing. These Rats were clearly new, but she had not had any exitement for some time, and had always rather liked intimidating people. It was especially easy now when every single word she spoke was entirely true, and the Rats would know it. There was a slightly wild look in her eyes, an appearance that had developed in the months since she had entered the city.
"I'm sure Havoc and the Berserker will be only too pleased to find that you have begun a war with us," she told them, a dangerous edge to her voice, "And that is what you will do if you don't get off our land." Glancing at Rico and Riley, a her lips curled into a razor-edged smile. "What do you say we give them ten seconds to get off our territory before we show them what trespassing in Central Park means?" she wanted to know, though it was more of a rhetorical question than anything.

Riley let her hands tighten on the hilt of her knives, and gazed over at the second Rat who had just entered. At first she had felt that Jimmy deserved to be let off the hook, but now…she didn’t quite understand how two Rat’s could just ‘wander’ into Wildcat territory moments from, each other. Her eyes narrowed, she wondered how these two would react. She doubted they would fight, they had shown no real wish to do so. Not to mention it would be a pretty stupid move, after having them just randomly show up in the first place.

Double crud. THREE? Reji set her jaw. Maybe she wasn't as smart as she thought. How annoying. "Look, why don't you just let us go without a bunch of conflict. There's probably more invading your territory while we sit here and chat."

Jimmy looked to his fellow Rat quietly, hand tightening on his own knife, his left hand still shoved deep in his pocket. He backed up slowly, staring straight at Rico, then shifting his gaze to Aderyn, and finally to Riley.
He didn't say a word as he stared at them, backing off from the intimidating group. He was lucky to still be alive and he knew it... Then why wasn't he afraid like he should be? He asked himself. He was still staring at Riley, then shifting his gaze again, as if afraid of the eye contact with the girl. In a strange way, he was less intimidated by making eye contact with the burly, kick-my-ass-in-a-second Rico then he was with Riley.
His eyes found there way back to RIley again, by mistake. He turned away quick. What was he embarrased of? A rival gang girl who could probably kick his ass up, down, and sideways? What the hell is wrong with me? He asked himself.

Ricos eyes flashed dangerously and he turned to his fellow Hunter with the same sadistic smile every Wild Cat had come to develop after several months in the city.
"...You hear that ? She said there's probaly more invading our territory as we speak with these two..." then he turned back to Jimmy the Rat and the other girl. His hand curled around his combat knife once more and he slowly drew all 15 inches of it from its sheath. He twirled it in his hands, the blade glinting dangerously.
" So you Rats starting a war ? Invading our territory and all that ? "

"Yes," she agreed, "I heard that." Turning back to the Rats, her eyes flashed. That line had struck a chord in her own mind as well, and while it might have been just an unlucky choice of words, for the Wharf Rats, it was a very unlucky choice of words - because each Wildcat could take them in any way they wanted. The poor little idiots. They know they can never win this battle.
"So you agree, you are invading our territory," she said coldly; it was a statement that invited no argument, not a question. "So nice of you to drop by and tell us. Somehow, though, I don't think we'll be letting you on your way anytime soon. You really," she told them, her voice gaining a sickly sweet edge, "shouldn't have told us that."
She threw her knife, the weapon purposely whooshing past the boy's face, with less than an inch of space to spare. She then vaulted over, pulling it out of the tree to spin and face them, breathing heavily. It had taken a lot of practice to get her aim so honed - nearly all of her time here had been spent learning the use of that weapon, as knives were easier to find than things such as guns or whatever - but this was what she had practiced for.
Indicating the deep gash on the tree's trunk, she hissed, "That'll be you in a minute, if you don't shut up. Your time to flee is past, Rats - you should've done so as soon as you heard one of us coming. Seeing as you wasted your ten seconds yapping" - she shrugged - "you can't complain anymore."
A dangerous look was in her eyes as she said this, and a slow, feral-looking smile spread across her face. She had only made one kill here, but had gotten in plenty of fights and learned to push her conscience to somewhere where even she had no idea of its whereabouts. And that was the way she liked it, for without conscience, there was no prickle of unease as she did something "wrong" - everything was so much easier that way.

Having the sense to know when it was time to vamoose, Reji glanced over at the boy. She was sincerely hoping he wouldn't attack until the Wild Cats had made the first move. "Get out of here, I'll catch up." She looked back at the girl, sizing her up. Her eyes were dangerous-looking, but not too frightnening for her.

Watching his fellow Wildcat move Rico kicked into action, the Wharf Rat girl was looking the other way so she was less of a threat but Rico wanted Jimmy. Flinging his massive arms out Rico made to seize Jimmy in a bear hug, attempting to crush the life from him.

Out of the corner of her eye, Reji detected a fast move from Rico. Didn't I just say I didn't want to fight? She moved in front of the boy, arching an eyebrow. "Dude, it'd save you a LOT of hard work if you'd just let us go the easy way. We'll be leaving soon, so no worries."

Jimmyflipped the blade of his knife out, eyeing the girl infront of him curiosly. He had no idea why the hell she would try to save him; He had only been here for a few days and knew virtually no one. Either way, he stepped up to stand side-by-side with her.
"I'm not leaving without you," Jimmy muttered, knowing it was the most cliche thing that could ever leave his mouth at this moment.

Is he crazy or just compassionate? I can't tell, but there's about to be some bloodshed on my part. Reji cast a startled glance toward the boy, then glared at the Wild Cats again, waiting. Her hand paused above her pocket, ready to snatch out her knife if need be.

Rico was slightly taken aback by the girl but it only stalled him in his tracks, frowning he flung his hands forward pushing them squarely into her shoulders in an attempt to knock her back to his fellow Wild cat behind them. His knife was already out as he spun to Jimmy, dropping into a half crouch he began to pace around the boy.
"....Come on Jimbo...One-on-One me and you "

Riley’s eyes narrowed when she noticed she had just been standing there doing nothing. She figured the two wild cat hunters didn’t except her to be able to fight as well as them. She pulled out her knives and flicked them open with a flick of her wrists. She sidestepped slightly so that she was now to the left of both rats, closer to Reji though; Riley noticed that Reji’s hand was resting near her pocket, and she guessed there was a knife in there, unless she decided she needed a tic-tac. She glanced over at Jimmy, seeing how he was going to react to Rico’s challenge. She then glanced back at Reji, since she was the closest.

Reji went ahead and snatched out her knives, both of them. She hadn't planned to fight today, but that was obviously imenint. With a sigh, she eyed Rico evilly. "Why is it that you want to fight him?"

Watching with cold eyes, the hunter did not wait for Rico to reply. Instead, she answered the Rat, leaning against a tree. "Perhaps you forget, Rat, but you are on our territory. Just standing here is getting a little boring - and you have picked up on our not-so-subtle hints, have you not?"
Rico was obviously going to attack - scratch that, attacking - the boy, and it seemed as if Riley was closing in on this Rat girl, which left here with no opponent. That was just fine with her for the moment, however - she would jump in later, depending on how the one-on-one fights went. If Riley attacked the Wharf Rat girl, of course.
It was a pity, really - these two were clearly new to the city, if they were dumb enough to trespass on Wildcat territory and then give them the crap about "not wanting to fight". Maybe they hadn't - but the Wildcats had a reputation for being wild and unpredictable, and any tribe was fiercely protective of their terf. Coming here uninvited was just stupid.
However, it gave her a chance to fight, something she was glad of. Well, hopefully a chance to fight. And if the fight wasn't going badly for either of her companions, she would just jump in randomly - she would rather not sit there and watch as they half killed each other.
"Frankly, it shouldn't be a surprise, even to someone as green as the two of you clearly are, that we would attack to protect our territory. I'm sure you would protect your sewers" - she curled her lip in distaste - "in just the same way. If you wouldn't, you're just stupid - for obvious reasons." Her tone said quite clearly that if they couldn't figure out those reasons for themselves, they were both more stupid than she had originally thought and didn't really need to know in the first place.

Jimmy's knife twirled in his hand, trying his best to atleast seem calm. He sure the hell wasn't calm inside. There was no way he was making the first move. If there was anything he could do to push the odds in his favor during a fight, it was to not attack first. Especially against this monstrous kid.

Rico smirked and closed the distance between him and Jimmy, lifting his long glinting blade to eye level he caught the sun on it and flashed it out towards the Warf Rats, there was no way the bright light wouldn't cause them to either close their eyes or look away and thats when he strike because he followed this up with a straight punch for Jimmys mouth.

Reji squinted from the light, trying to see the boy and the two girls nearby at the same time. Huh, this Wild Cat boy was smart. But brains weren't everything. She ducked, backing away under a tree until she could find a better way to attack. For now, she'd just have to try and warn the boy. "Hey you! Duck!"
