"What, don't know your own tribe-mate's name?" Shadow asked coolly, slipping behind the Rat girl. "For the record, 'hey, you' might not be the best way to adress him, and he probably won't take too well to being called a duck, either." Amusement glittered in her eyes as she gave the other an icy smile, clearly enjoying this.
This girl was clearly trying to avoid entering the fight until she spotted the 'opportune moment' - but did she really think that one of the two Wildcats not involved in the boys' fight wouldn't notice her disappearance? No; Shadow was not going to let the Rats get any farther into Central Park. For all their claims about not wanting to start a fight, they had come here willingly, and would pay the price.
If only there were more Wildcats in the area.
The girl suppressed a sigh, but knew that she would never be the one to call for reinforcements. The others could, fine, she wouldn't object. But she wouldn't stoop to surrendering, ever; she just didn't see the profit in it, although it would be fun to outnumber the Rats so clearly that they would know they could never escape. Ever. For now, the Cats only had one extra person on their side. But in a fight, it could be a single person to tip the balance.
Yes... Another smile flitted across the Hunter's face, this one revealing no more of her feelings than the last. The rumors of having a Wildcat behind every tree, bush, or other thing large enough to hide human presence were only true to the barest extent. Truthfully, Central Park was just too large for one tribe consisting of less than twenty members - or so - to cover completely. But there were spots were the cats were concentrated - and the Rats had been unlucky enough to stumble upon one of them.
Blue eyes flicked toward the boys, but there seemed to be no developments; she had no idea who was winning. For the moment, she didn't much care. Amused curiousity now settled into her features - it seemed she was starting up a conversation just because, with no thought for the fight going on behind her.
"Trespassing on another Tribe's territory, not knowing the name of the kid you did it with... You must be new. Don't you know how things work here, Rat? Save yourself, keep to the roads that you know will benefit you. And never, never trespass on another's territory, unless you've got your entire Tribe backng you up. Otherwise" - her eyes flashed - "you've got trouble."
