Bishop sighed, dropping his much-abused backpack onto a dryish bit of ground under one of the makeshift shelters spread about through the area. A weather-beaten tarp spread over a trio of trees which had grown together and then partially collapsed make an excellent place to hide from the wind and spitting rain. His hip throbbed in protest of the dampness, and the process of sitting down was a slow, careful one for Bishop.
"Merde." he swore blankly, eying the sky from his seat. Overcast and grey, it wasn't helping an already chilly day.
He shivered, and swore again. Things were not going his way, it seemed.

He liked the rain.
Well, under pressure he would admit rain might have its annoying quota, the sneezing and getting a cold part. But, otherwise, rain was an interesting and funny thing. It cleansed the city - it dearly need it. And Jack liked the scent of washed earth in the Park.
He might like the rain, but walking under it wasn't that pleasant after a while. Getting all muddy and such; then he would have to clean the mud off his boots and clothing. With a final sprint - almost skidding on a particularly large pool of muddy water - Jack dove into the makeshift shelter. It only took him a glance to realize he was not alone.
"Oh, hi!" he greeted, shaking water off his hair, then squeezing the rest with his hands. "Taking a walk, were you? It seems I'm not the only one to like the rain."

Jack might've enjoyed the rain to a degree, but Bishop did not. Soggy clothes, sore joins, and damp everything didn't exactly top his list of 'oh gee wow awesome'. Bishop opened his mouth to protest as the other Wildcat intruded (it wasn't exactly the worlds biggest shelter) but he cut himself off as Jack shook his hair, producing a rather scandalized 'Nnneh!' in the back of his throat.
Stepping toward the back of the shelter, Bishop frowned and wiped at the smattering of water droplets that'd appeared on the sleeve of his jacket.
"Bloody...! Watch it!" he snapped, suppressing a shiver. "The goal is to keep the water out of here."

((Mask invited me, if that's all okay. If not, I shall dash!))
It's only a couple more moments before another figure tumbles into the shelter, sliding to his knees and looking around, already-large eyes wide, water running off the end of his round nose. He's a tangle of too-long limbs, huddling away from the rain, and his dark-blond, mustardy hair is plastered to his forehead. "Jack, Bishop," he says with a quick head-jerk to each of them; he hasn't been here long, but he's made it his business to memorize the faces of his tribe. "Wet." he announces, unnecessarily.

Jack tilted his head toward Saul. "Aw, come on, don't be such a prick. A little water won't kill you. And you didn't answer my question. So. Taking a walk? You like the rain? He flopped down next to the Hunter, brushing a few more drops of rain from his coat - not quite minding if they landed on the ground or on Saul. Focusing on this, he took a few seconds to identify the newcomer. "Hullo, 'nuckle. Of course it's wet. It's raining," he stated cheerfully.

"Yes I was taking a walk, no I do not enjoy the rain." Bishop said curtly, resisting the urge to maul the little bastard as more water dotted his clothing. He sighed heavily as yet another unwanted body entered the shelter, using his hand to brush away the droplets that hadn't yet soaked into the fabric. He shivered while doing this, clearly displeased with the feeling of damp fabric against his over-sensitive hand.
The notion that it would be so very easy to reach over and brush what would be a very painful touch against Jack's cheek occurred to him not for the first time. He was lower in rank than Bishop... but Azrael would be less than pleased if he found out Bishop had caused injury, even one as non-permanent, short lived as it would be. Plus, Bishop didn't want to deal with the added pins and needles and general sensory overload that came after.
He settled for a small, haughty glare at the newcomer.
"Knuckle." he said dryly by way of greeting.

Knuckle, being, quite honestly speaking, a fairly simple creature, edged a bit closer to Jack, who not only said hello, but also spoke to him. His attention, however, remained fixed on Bishop, because Bishop seemed just that much more dangerous.
"I don't like the rain either," he offered tentatively, and made an attempt to wipe the sopping hair from his forehead so it would cease dripping into his eyes, which was causing him to blink rapidly.

"I like it," Jack stated simply. Or not that simply - there were few simple things in life, when it came to Jack. Most required an exhaustive explanation. "There are many more reasons to like the rain than to not like it. Just listen to this - One." He started counting with his fingers. "Rain nurtures the trees and the grass; it makes everything green and shiny. Two. rain cleanses the dust away; again, everything's shiny. Three. Rainclouds are fluffy and interesting - just look at them and you can imagine a thousand different things. Like a rabbit, a bicycle, a bag of candy..." Jack looked momentarily lost. "Er. Where... Oh, four. The smell of washed earth is wonderful. Five. When it rains, it gets a little warmer. Six. It's always nice to watch a downpour when you're curled up by the fireplace drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows." Jack paused and restarted the counting. "Against rain - one. You stand outside, you get wet. And that's it. As I said - love it; there are no reasons not to."
[Aha, how would lil'Jack react if he was thrown out of the shelter and into the rain? xD]
