Children of StarClan: Champions of the Forest is a Play-By-Post Role Playing Game set in Erin Hunter's Warriors universe.
In this alternate-verse, the happenings of either book series don't exist, and players are free to create a Clan Cat, Kitty-pet, or Loner in a world where the kittypet once known as Rusty never set foot into the forest. Without infringing un-justly on Erin Hunter's characters, Children of StarClan seeks to put together the highest quality Warriors Role Play experience possible.
No one knows how the war started; save for the fact that it was heralded by the death of a single young medicine cat. The adolescent tom's home clan has long been forgotten, but all clans know of the turmoil that surrounded his passing. Murdered at a gathering in the fleet moments when a thunderhead broke, obscuring the moon and stars from the cats below, no clan took responsibility for his death.
What followed was four and a half years of hell. Clans fought fang and claw against their neighbours, determined to bring the murderers to justice. Yet nothing good came of the strings of battles, known as the Great War, only the death of many cats. Leaders and deputies, as fast as they were named were dying, leaders flying through their nine-lives at a tremendous rate.
Yet now, with the pleas of the Medicine cats, comes a sign from StarClan. A warrior will be born, and a prophecy will be fulfilled. Peace will return to the forest, and death shall be no more. This is StarClan's promise.
