[Name >> Katrina 'Media' Anon
[Age >> 16
[Gender >> Female
[Tribe >> Wharf Rats
[Rank >> Commoner
[Nationality >> American, originally Norwegian
[Politics >> Save yourself. Never look back.
[Romantic orientation >> Straight.
[Appearance >> Standing at an average 5'5, Media simply can't help blending in. In an attempt to rectify this, her dark brown hair is streaked with orange, purple, and blue. It falls to barely brush her shoulders, and long bangs are swept and usually clipped to the left side of her face so that they don't obstruct her vision. Her eyes are the same shade of dark brown as her hair, large and very expressive. She is somewhat well-muscled from a lifetime of cross-country and volleyball, though more lean than brawny. She trains obsessively, in order to make sure she won't die.
Her everyday attire is fairly usual, consisting of a pair of too-long stolen army fatigues, a black long sleeved tee shirt, and a thick grey hoodie, all scavenged from her old home. The pants alternate sometimes, as does the shirt, but the sweatshirt is ever-present.
[Attitude >> At one point, Media was a nice, mellow child. Not any more. The plague had a drastic effect on her personality, as now she is driven to find the cause, the real cure, anything she can. Even greater than that is her desire to survive. She is rather controlled, expressing little emotion no matter what the situation, and never getting angry. It just isn't how she ticks. Instead, she is inclined to sink into the deepest recesses of her brain for long periods of time, plotting and planning her moves in the giant chess game that is New Pork. She helps people when it is beneficia to her, and only then. Beneath the surface, Media is infinitely curious, and thus prone to hacking into web sites such as CNN or even the army and analyzing the information she finds. If things had been different, she probably could have worked for the government someday, though of course in the current situation, she harbors deep resentment towards them for not doing anything to stop the plague from occurring in the first place.
[Notable History >>Though her family originated in Norway, Media and her parents and sister moved to the suburbs of New York City when she was only three. Thus she grew up in an average middle-class family, the only thing separatin her from everyone else being her uncommon skill with technology. Still, she did sports, and when she was fifteen, a volleyball tournament took her out of town and north to Vermont. She was there when the Plague hit. Previously a happy teen, Media retreated into herself after the news that there had been no survivors. Among the dead were her parents and sister.
As she struggled to cope with her grief, the news reached her, through the Army's files, that children were starting to take shelter within the now-cleansed city. Having just moved in with her aunt in Connetticut, it was no real struggle for her to pack up some necessities and take a bus as far as it would go to the newly named New Pork. From there, her cross-country running skills came in handy as she cut through the razor-wire fences and found herself in the city.
[Reputation >> The only reputation Media has acquired as of yet is one of being cold and ruthless.
