Reji arche an eyebrow. Did people normally carry around wheels? Maybe so. She had to start paying attention.
"I was bored. I decided to see if there was anything interesting to do here...but I suppose there isn't."

[[OOC: Will do Mina *salutes*]]
What was that? Had he actually pulled a wheel from his pocket? Yes, yes he had. And not only had he displayed his visual clue, it seemed (to Zenzi anyway) that it was to make an unnecessary clarification. Or maybe Nemo was actually just stupid. That was always an option.
"I know what a wheel is," Zenzi snapped, frowning. "I don't need some trash-collector to show me examples." They were aggravating him with their dullness. But to attack them might be considered traitorous in this little group of theirs. And this bothered him not a bit.
He turned to Reji now, lilac eyes blunt but unwavering in their long, steady gaze. "Boredom brought you here? I doubt it." He scoffed. "If you were really bored you'd go wandering until you met someone with a different...thing..." he gestured to his tribal marking "and piss around with them for a spell."
He shrugged, moreso to himself than his present company. That's what he would've been doing...that is, if he hadn't already done that. Repeatedly. Or at least wanted to. Stretching, Zenzi slowly unraveled his scarf. It was longer than it appeared and this he used to his advantage.

"Well, actually, I'm bored, not stupid."
Reji rolled her eyes. As if she'd go fight and run the risk of getting captured. This guy was a real ham, wasn't he? Of course, she'd decided not to argue with anyone today. Too much energy. And it was SUCH a lovely beach. With a sigh, she crossed her arms and eyed her two male companions.
"May I ask why you two are wearing scarves and carrying wheels?"

Stupid. Hmn. Maybe Zenzi should've paid more attention when these little markings were being explained, because for the moment, he had no idea why they were important. He shrugged, it didn't matter now. They all had the same one.
Why was he wearing his scarf? He...it... Wait a moment now. "Is that...a serious question?" He never questioned why he wore his scarf, it was just a part of his warddrobe. "I can't explain the wheels though... I can't think of any good or sensible use for them, really. Unless you were building something?" He eyes moved between Nemo and Reji.
A sudden thought struck him and he stared at the water. "It's safe to go in it, right?" And he didn't mean 'not hazardous' when he said safe, he just wanted to know if the water was clean. Well, as clean as anything could be around here.

"I call mine a turban, Miss Reji, as do most people around the world and I wear it to block out anything nasty that might come from above", said Nemo pointing to his headress, "I wouldn't know about Zenzi here, seeing as he failed to provide us with a decent explanation".
Nemo pointed over at the other boy as he finished that sentence.
"I carry wheels, bolts, nuts, a screwdriver and a few other tools around because that's what I do: I fix things. Machines mostly, and mechanical stuff only. Not too keen on computers.
The nasty thing is, I have to get my own materials. Unfortunately, while my little cart friend over there provides a sturdy and large container, it is not suitable for moving small pieces as the wheel I showed you a while ago around. The many pockets in my choice of clothing, however, are".
Nemo was quite surprised someone would want to know if the water was safe, in whatever way it may be. A nasty answer rapidly made its way down into his vocal chords, but Nemo decided to save it for later.
"Safe to go into...?", asked Nemo, raising his left eyebrow.

"You do know that I don't have to provide anything to either of you, right?" Zenzi snapped at Nemo, frowning. "I wear my scarf because I can; it gets cold, I can stay relatively warm. Does that satisfy you, either of you?" He looked between them, sighing heavily and sitting.
He ran a hand through the longer side of his hair, scowling. "Yes, safe to go into." How many other ways could that be said? Oh, yes, that's right; not many. Resting his chin on his fists, he wondered why he was being so very irritable. They weren't particularly bad company... Maybe it was the girl. Or maybe the kid. Or maybe it was the fact that he wanted something to do but couldn't attack them and no one was disclosing whether or not he could go for a swim.
All very irritating. And it had started out as such a lovely day.

"True, you don't have to provide anything to either me or, to the best of my knowledge, Miss Reji, but you did anyway, Zenzi", pointed out Nemo, amused with the way this conversation was going.
Rarely coming outside the big warehouse where he spent a lot of his still-short life tinkering with all kinds of machines, any interaction with other people was welcome, so as to keep himself as sane as someone like him could ever aspire to be. Keeping track of who was in charge of the tribe, who was new, who left and that kind of stuff also were important. You never know who you might have to dispose of "for the good of the tribe", afterall.
"And what I meant was what it was that you wanted to know was safe to get into, not the safety part. Hardly anything is safe around here, so that would be a dumb question to ask. And you wouldn't ask one of those, now would you, Zenzi?"

Now he was just mocking him. And this was only making matters worse. "Of course not," he replied sweetly, smiling and nodding before the smile disappeared. "Now piss off, already. I'm going swimming."
Despite what he'd said, he fell back, grunting when his head hit something. Growling quietly, he moved all the debris from his head space, not minding as the sand meshed with his hair. How would he go about this? He wouldn't swim in his clothing, no that would be foolish. Zenzi sighed, closing his eyes and welcoming the faux-darkness; yep, he'd probably have to take his clothes off.

Reji held a hand to her mouth to keep from laughing. She found this guy to be an exact replica of a grumpy badger, but of course the grumpiest people could be the funniest.
"Are you okay?"
She smiled a bit, glad that she was in no condition to go swimming. Like she was going to dive headfirst into dirty waves. With a smirk, she glanced over at Nemo.
"I'm not going."

"No need to, Zenzi, I'm sure a lot of things already have... into the very thing you're about to dive into. which, by the way, is not safe... at all", replied Nemo, finding amusement in the other boy's recklessness.
Reji's statement intrigued our little friend from India, mostly because she spoke her mind directly, no soft words at all. Her smirk didn't go unnoticed, too.
"Indeed, Ms. Reji? And why is that, if I may know, of course? Too much fun in the sand?", asked Nemo, with a neutral, yet polite, voice tone.

"Well, I have to admit. It's a little unnerving being in front of two guys wearing your swim clothers. No offense, though."
She had a swimsuit under that tank top of hers. But why she wore it was for her to know and for you to never find out. She had her reasons. And besides that, Reji did not intend to go swimming in fragments of seagull guano anytime soon.

Zenzi opened one eye, frowning at the overhead conversation. He really didn't care if it wasn't safe; he just wanted to know. He sat up, spreading his legs and letting his arms fall between them. He looked up for a moment, staring at the water. It was probably filthy, but it was moving...if only a little bit.
"Thanks for the advice." Zenzi muttered, standing and stretching. "..." He pondered saying more but changed his mind, choosing to instead brush the sand off his clothing and move toward the water. So what if it wasn't safe or if they didn't join him. Their company was unnecessary and had they not been there, he would've gone in already. He shook his head, running a hand through his hair and shaking out a bit more sand.
Holding his scarf loosely, he sighed. From a distance, the water looked soddy and closer up didn't change much. Hm. Just how reckless would it really be to go chucking off into the water? He wasn't hot, but Zenzi wanted a change of element.

Reckless idiot, he's going to get himself sick and an hour long interrogation by Berserker as to why I didn't stop him sounds very annoying...
"Not a good idea, Zenzi, the sea around here is actually more hazardous than the sewers. It doesn't smell half as bad, but neither does Carbon Monoxyde, and that'll kill you."
Still a child in romantic/sexual matters, Nemo did not comprehend Reji's discomfort. He turned back to Reji, not sure of what to say.
Girls really are strange... pretty, but strange.
"...but then, what's the point of putting on 'swim clothers' if you're not going to take a dip?", he asked, eyebrow raised, mind slightly confused, "Would you be kind enough to explain?"

Sighing a little, Reji scratched the back of her head, trying to come up with an answer. Darn. Now she'd have to explain her reason for wearing a swimsuit all the time. Ugh.
"I'm fat."
This was not true, of course, but Reji had been thinking she was fat from the day she became a teenager. It was a girl thing. Double ugh.

Zenzi glanced over his shoulder as Nemo spoke, his eyes dark and lids low. Blah blah, just what was he going on about? If it wasn't already apparent that he didn't give a damn about safety before, now would be the time to recognize this. Scoffing, he folded his scarf and set it down on the sand, sitting beside it and meticulously unlacing his shoes.
"Yeah, but what won't kill me around here?" He snapped, glancing back once more. "And she doesn't want you to see the bumps she calls tits, that's why she's not undressing." Zenzi shrugged, moving on to his other shoe. "I don't understand you Reji; two guys who aren't interested in your body and you're shy around them? Obviously, slave-boy's a kid and I'm just not into girls. You got nothing to worry about." And now, on to the socks. He paused, running his hands through his hair. Worse than the sewers? Feh. So was the territory belonging to any tribe other than the Wharf Rats.

"Giving your brain some use, for instance. That's usually quite healthy, Zenzi. Whatever, do as you wish, just don't speak like you've been swimming in the filth before actually doing so!".
Nemo wasn't used to so foul a language, the Wharf Rats were usually courteous with each other... even the backstabbing was done in a decent, polite and very well-spoken fashion.
Huh? I thought you started liking girls when you grew older... he went the other way around, that's odd.
If that's what 'puberty' is all about, I think being a 'kid' will suit me just fine. Getting more and more stupid as I age... not worth it... and who said anything about getting undressed!? Thickness at its best, you could make a bomb shelter out his skull...
"Fat? No, no, whales and elephants are fat, not you. Still, your answer didn't make sense, Reji...", said Nemo, a skeptic look all over him.
Fat + X = Bathing suit? That makes as much sense as the Vampires joining with the Wild Cats, to become the Slightly Irate Blooddrinking Mammals. Though it would be funny to watch.

"Well, people have tried to understand the depths of my mind, but all have failed. It is just too complex for a normal person to comprehend."
And that was that. But she wasn't done yet. Casting an ominous look toward Zenzi, she spoke her next piece, this one even more dangerous than the last.
"And I would REALLY love it if you didn't say 'tits'. It puts me on edge. Terribly."

Zenzi cast his own dark glance back as Reji spoke, eying her unscrupulously. Rolling his eyes, he laid his socks atop his scarf. "And now you'll be telling me what to, eh? So it's alright if you say it then?" He chuckled, shaking his head. "Self-conscious prat. And you're not fat... At least, not in what you're wearing right now. And really, the depths of your mind? Seriously, I wouldn't think it too hard to decipher."
Turning his attention back to the water, Zenzi sighed. What would happen if he did go in there? His curiosity was growing with each tiny lapping wave and it would not be dismissed. Maybe he'd just stick his foot in. Feh to that! He shook his head, muttering curses as he tugged his shirt off and proceeded to fold it. His own body was thin, but not completely frail, pale in some places and dark where there were permanent bruises.
Filth. That's what the kid had called it. "I use my brain enough, kid. That's why I came here; to relax."
