[[occ: that title's so lame]]
Hmn. Now what to do with the rest of the day? Zenzi fingered his scarf absently, tilting his head slightly and causing the longer side of his hair to touch half of his face. And it truly was a longer side; it was visibly longer because he only cut the right side. It was gray and a bit dirty, but maybe that's why he stayed near the water. He didn't like being dirty. And he didn't like the paw on his face. It was like being branded.
Oh well. Moving on. Sighing he looked around. This place was so dead, so quiet and he wasn't even sure how he'd gotten here in the first damn place. He sat in what seemed like grass...or dirt...maybe dry sewage. Ew. Maybe sitting wasn't such a good idea. He stood again, frowning. It was too dirty here, and too bright, and too dry.
And there was no one to play with.
But of course there wasn't. He hadn't spoken to anyone and he almost didn't want to. What he really wanted to do was wrap his belt around someone--well, anything breathing. Or maybe some kind of insect to toy with. Dissect, maybe. He couldn't remember if he had actually choked that girl...it seemed real in his mind but so did a lot of other things.
"Meh." He shrugged to an invisible audience.
Still no one to play with. How boring.

Reji's day had been interestingly boring. She'd wanted to spy but had no one to spy on. She ate a lot, but didn't feel better. And she was tired of walking around, so she'd chosen the beach as a Spot of Boredom. It wasn't the cleanest place to go...what with the debris and sewage waste all over the place. No wonder no one came here.
She noticed one person ahead. Too far away to tell if the person was Wharf Rat or not, but she could see that the person was apparently a male. It didn't look like he was with anyone. The beach seemed deserted. Walking a bit closer, she stuffed her hands in the pockets of her black cargos and looked up. "Hello."

(OoC: funky thing just happened: noticed Zenzi was a Wharf Rat, and it was Marco that was a Wildcat... >_< hope my Indian machinery-fond boy suits your RP urge )
Whilst leaving one of the bigger debris that populated the "beach", Nemo noticed someone there.
"All day looking to the outer sea, mr. Miller. If you're hoping for a whale to come and ferry you back to wherever you came from, you might as well paint the sky red: both aren't very likely to happen."
Nemo had gone to the beach to try to find some more parts for whatever needed to be done. He'd been there at sunrise, and spent all morning salvaging what he could. You'd think a metal pipe used as a cane would make noise, but the "ground" suppressed most of it so he managed to walk about pretty unnoticed.
"What're you doing here, anyway?"

Company! ...wait.../company/. For the brief second he was considering enjoying this, he noticed that they had the same mark as he did. And this meant no real fun. At least, in good faith and protocol, there was supposed to be no harm within the group. Or something like that, he couldn't recall.
A girl and a boy. How quaint. But where were his manners? He looked up slowly at the girl, noticing her face and hair and stance. She seemed relaxed. Easy one. "Hello." He said lowly, looking away.
Hmn. So the boy was clever? "I'm not hoping for anything, especially not a whale." He replied lazily, resting his chin on his fist. "And don't call me that." What was he doing out there? "I'm resting; busy night ahead." He smirked, lowering his eyes as he hands moved automatically to fidget with his scarf.

Reji for the first time noticed another guy coming towards them. Alright, three people wouldn't be so bad...depending on who that third person was. Looking closer, she saw that both were Rats. Ah. Well, she should be alright. "How's it going." Reji settled onto a rock nearby. She didn't plan to do anything much, due to her boredom...but things could happen.

Zenzi frowned, stolen away from his thoughts. "How's it going? Hn. It's going rather poorly if I'm sitting here, idle."
He despised how dead the area was; even the water was lifeless. At least, that's how he saw it. He glanced at the girl, contemplating.

"Busy night, eh? Good to see you Rats still know what working is! *chuckle* But then, what shall I call you, Mr. Miller?"
The girl caught him by surprise. Most of them did. A lifetime at a freighter didn't get him acquainted with the opposite sex... at all.
"Ah, Ms... Ellinger, is it? Here to help a poor crippled boy carry his latest findings back to his storehouse? *sarcastic smile*
Holding on to his "cane, Nemo walked a bit further so he could see the pair that would keep him company for the moment.
"I'm doing as fine as my metal rod can be. And you? How fine are you?"

Zenzi growled quietly, looking up. He didn't know who these people were and part of him didn't care. Standing, he brushed himself off and scowled.
"You will call me Zenzi. Same goes for you." His eyes rested once again on the girl. He wondered for a moment if she would think that he was interested in her.

"Oh, pardon this stupid indian slave, Mr. Miller, he's an idiotic piece-of-trash!", sarcastically replied Nemo, feigning a bow as best as he could, "I'll have him whipped right now, so he'll learn not to call you Mr. Miller, Mr. Miller!"
Letting out a chuckle, Nemo pulled an empty box out of the debris and, after adjusting it, sat on it, awaiting further developments (info is a valuable asset).
"So, I take it your evening involves doing more than checking Ms. Ellinger out top-to-bottom."

Zenzi stared stoicly at the "stupid Indian slave," frowning. He didn't like his tone or his mocking bow. And despite what Zenzi had considered disrespectful, he was still talking to him. His face contorted briefly, eyes and lips narrowing before he tilted his head and smiled.
"Well, wouldn't you be too stupid to understand whether it would or not?" He asked sweetly.

"Apparently, you left your grasp on sarcasm behind when you abandoned the ship of good luck and landed here, Zenzi", answered Nemo, with a calm look on his face.
"Never mind, then. I'm sure it does."

Hnh. He'd never had any real grip on sarcasm; not too long ago he would've let this Indian be the aggressor. Hnh. He twirled his hair aimlessly before his hands moved to their familiar territory.
"Abandoned? Not likely." He paused. "And no, I have nothing actually planned to do with her." Truth be told, Zenzi hated girls. He rarely explained why, but it was fact. "What are you doing here? You're not just going around asking questions and collecting trash... No, wait...you just might be." He finished with a shrug.

"Oh, no, I don't collect trash. As odd as it might sound, I think I'm talking to it right now.", said the indian boy, with a snicker. "You'd be surprised with what can be done with all the stuff that's just lying around here."
A few ticks tocked inside Nemo's brain, giving him an idea, and he continued his amusing reply.
"Oh, it's such a shame. Seems like the concept of beauty was also left behind, Zenzi. Shall I leave you too alone so you can get reacquianted with it?"
(OoC: Feeling a little like Jafar and Aladdin in the first movie, before Jasmin confronts them about 'not being a prize for them to fight for')

((OoC: Yea. ) Zenzi tapped his lip thoughtfully, grinning and running his tongue over his lips. "I'm not trash, slave-boy. And I know beauty; I'm already well-acquainted, thanks." He crossed his arms. "Now answer my question. What are you doing here?"

"You seem to be as thick as some of the junk lying around. I've been salvaging all the parts I can from these small treasure troves, as you should guess by the big shopping cart full of "trinkets, do-hickeys and thing-a-ma-bobs (OoC: not a native speaker, have no idea how you spell it ^_^')".
Nemo used his cane to point out the cart to both of his "companions"
"Since we appear to be on speaking terms, Zenzi, you would do better to call me Nemo. The same goes for our female companion".
Starting to feel this conversation would be fruitless, Nemo tried to squirt some juice out of it:
"Why the sudden interest, Zenzi?"

Maybe talking to this 'Nemo' character had been a mistake. Zenzi was beginning to get aggravated by his tone but there was nowhere to go.
"Nemo, hm? Hn. I think I like Slave-Boy better." He shrugged. "Interest? I was just being polite." He smiled. "I might've been looking for someone to..." Had to choose his words carefully now. "Spend an evening or two with."

Reji was watching and listening with arched eyebrows. Obviously boys were mainly intent on arguing rather than talking peacefully. But who was she to talk, she liked to fight. Sighing, she realized that part of the conversation involved her. She had to put a stop to that immediately. So without further ado, she came closer to speak her piece. "If I may add my input, I am just a regular passerby. And either call me Reji or nothing, just not Ms. Ellinger. Or else." She spoke rather sweetly, for her.

"Reji it is, then. Odd spot to come for a walk, Miss Reji. Might I enquire as to what led to your choice?", Nemo asked, "Don't tell me I've let myself become the candlestick at your rendez-vous?"
"Everyone seems to be ashamed of their surname around these parts.", said Nemo, whispering to himself, a slight expression of amusement colouring his brown face.
"I'll leave if that's the case", Nemo picked up his cane, "never really enjoyed being the third guy".
Still a lot to look for, and these two probably don't know anything useful. Although, with all I've found today, I guess I can stick around for a while.

Zenzi frowned, eyebrows inching together. "Just what in the hell are you going on about? Third wheel?"
For there to be a third wheel, then there first needed to be at least two and Zenzi didn't consider himself and Reji to be anything of the sort. He was borderline ready to begin a verbal attack, but tilted his head, reasoning it would be better to save his energy.

"No, no, Zenzi, this", Nemo took something out of one of his many pockets, "is a wheel."
Putting the wheel back where it was a moment ago, Nemo resumed his rebuttal.
"I meant it's not my intention to stand where another two wish to be."
